Notebook comprised mainly of remedies for scurvy, colds, vapours, sore feet, chilblains and various illnesses, with household hints and tips including recipes for the production of blue and black inks, tooth powder and an inhaler liquid for clearing blocked nasal passages. It also includes a note on the death of William Wales, notes on observations made, on his assistants, on visitors to Greenwich and on improvements to a reflector made by Dr Herschel.

Notebook containing remedies for colds, sore feet, spasms, etc., notes on his own health and the health of his daughter Margaret Maskelyne, on the duties of his household servants and domestic matters, on accounts including payments to assistants for work done, on observations made, directions for printing his observations, and notes on how to operate the shutter of the observing room, etc.
